Since it’s a life simulator, a large part of the game revolves around finding a career or profession for your BitLife character to take up, allowing them to progress through its different ranks and steadily grow more skilled.

One of these career paths is all about being a musician; through this, your BitLife can become a rapper.

As a rapper, your character can release albums, become famous, and earn lots of money. However, there are quite a few steps that BitLife players will need to follow to become a rapper.

How To Become A Rapper In BitLife

To begin your journey to becoming a rapper in BitLife, you must start an entirely new character.

Becoming a rapper requires plenty of musical experience, which means your character needs to be dedicated to music from the very early days. This is a shame because it means your pre-existing character won’t be able to chase that dream. 

Creating A New Character

Select the “New Life” option and make your new character. Since they’re going to become a rapper later in life, you’ll want to design their appearance to look like the kind of rapper you want them to be. 

On top of that, you may also want to choose a name for them that suits rapping!

Learning Music

Once you’ve got your new character, and they’re eight years or older, they can begin learning music.

As you can imagine, this is an essential step towards becoming a rapper, and your character won’t be able to reach that goal if they don’t learn music.

To start learning music, go to the “Activities” tab and find the “Mind and Body” section. Search through the section until you find the “Voice Lessons” option, allowing you to begin learning music. 

Since your character is a child, they must ask for their parent’s permission to have the voice lessons. There is a chance that the parents say no, which is annoying. In these cases, create a new character and try again. 

Voice Lessons

For your BitLife character to get a job as a singer when they’re old enough, you will need to level up your voice skills fully. This means that you’re going to have to take voice lessons very regularly because practice makes perfect. 

We recommend you take voice lessons a minimum of four times a year until you reach 18.

Becoming A Singer In BitLife

Once you’ve reached 18 and have your voice skills fully maxed out, you’ll need to get a job as a singer. 

First, find the Jobs tab, then select “Special Careers.” Look for the Musician Tab in this new list, then tap on the “Solo Artist” option. 

You’ll then be asked to pick from a list of Record Labels. You can pick any of them because it won’t affect your chances as a rapper. Once you’ve made your choice, you’ll need to give an audition to the label.

Unfortunately, this can go either way! You will either get accepted or rejected by the record label. If you get rejected, pick another label and audition again. You might have to begin a new character if nobody accepts you. 

Picking A Rap Record Contract

On the other hand, if a record label accepts you, then you will next be offered a record contract. Things are getting big! 

Picking your contract is very important because it’s the stage where you can truly become a rapper since you decide with the contract what genre of music you want to make. 

Unfortunately, the genre list is random, and some users won’t be offered it. You’ll need to start the game again if this is the case.
