How To Obtain The Radahn’s Great Rune

Once you have defeated Starscourge Radahm, you will be rewarded with Radahn’s Great Rune. However, gamers cannot use the rune immediately. To reap the benefits this rune holds, you must first activate it. Finding out where to do this is tricky. This is because the place you need to do this isn’t exactly in Caelid but rather above it.

The Great Runes of Elder Ring are each linked to a particular Devine Tower. It is in these towers that each rune must be activated. Regarding Radahn’s Great Rune, activation is achieved in the Divine Tower in Caelid. This is to the North of Greyoll’s Dragonbarrow.

To reach the Dragonbarrow, go towards the Third Church of Marika and use the teleporter to go northeast. Find the teleporter is obscured from view behind a bush. The teleport takes you to the Beast Clergyman. This is Bestial Sanctum and is located in the Dragonbarrow.

How To Get To The Divine Tower Of Caelid

From your current location in the Bestial Sanctum, you now need to head across the Farum Greatbridge. Once you cross the bridge, you will reach Lenne’s Rise. Here, you can use the spirit spring to go upwards or follow the winding path to head West. You should now be able to see the Divine Tower of Caelid in the distance.

Don’t head directly for it, as this path is full of rotting dragons. Use the cliffs instead. Follow them until you reach the Dragonbarrow’s north side. Head under the Greatbridge to reach the northern cliff edge. 

How To Activate The Rune

The rune can only be used once you have activated it. Once you have defeated Radahn and equipped the rune at a Site of Grace, you must now consume one of the rune arcs to activate the Great Rune. Now, the Great Rune will take effect. 

What Does The Rune Do?

Radahn’s Great Rune increases the amount of stamina, HP, and FP that you can obtain.  It is better to obtain early in the game, as the increase has more benefits when your current levels are low. Later in the game, however, the benefits of Godrick’s Great Rune become less important. At this point, you might realize that Radahn’s Great Rune is more powerful and might benefit you more.
