Our efficiency in defending ourselves from Creepers or getting meat from Pigs is worse when our weapons need repairing, but it can be hard to find the resources and methods to do it.

How To Build A Bow In Minecraft
Building Weapons in Minecraft is a rite of passage for all players. To repair a Bow, however, you will need a Bow and Arrows to shoot from it. Similar to how you would build a Fishing Rod, the recipe to build a Bow is composed of both Sticks and Rope.
Three Sticks and three pieces of Rope, to be exact. Sticks can be made from wood, and Rope is collected from Spiders.
Start with a line of Sticks along the left side of the crafting square in the Crafting menu. Create a triangle with the Rope moving toward the other side of the menu. And there you have it. You have built your first Bow in Minecraft.
The recipe for Arrows is slightly more complicated. This will require Sticks again, but also Feathers and Flint. You will also need much more of these items than before, as having just one Arrow to fire isn’t very helpful!
In the center of the Crafting menu, place your Sticks. Underneath that, on the bottom of the menu, place your Feathers.
Then, at the top of the menu is where you will place your Flint. This is the recipe for making Arrows, and you can repeat this as often as you need to until you have a good number of Arrows.
Now that you have a Bow and some Arrows, you can choose to Enchant these items to make them more powerful – such as the Infinity Enchantment, which can give you infinite Arrows!
Even that magical improvement, however, will not stop your Bow from weakening over time as you use it. Therefore, you will need to know how to repair your Bow so you can keep playing.

There is more than one way to repair an item in Minecraft, so here is a quick rundown of all the ways you can repair your weapons and tools in the game!
Repair Using An Anvil
Making an Anvil in Minecraft is quite resource-intensive, as it requires a lot of Iron Blocks and Iron Ingots.
However, once you have made your Anvil, it can be used to repair your tools before they break! Anvils can either combine two of the same item to create a single stronger version, or a specific material (such as Cobblestone) can be used to repair an item.
Repair Using A Grindstone
A Grindstone is a Block that repairs tools and weapons. They are Crafted using Wood and Stone. Placing two of the same item into the Grindstone menu will create a single item with the combined durability of both items.
Repair Using A Crafting Table
Using the classic Crafting Table is the method most players will be familiar with, as it is also the method used to Craft many items too. The process of repairing using the Crafting menu is the same as it is for the other two methods.
All you have to do is simply place two of the same item into the menu, and a new single item with increased durability will be created.
How To Repair A Bow In Minecraft
If you have an Enchanted Bow that is running low on durability, and you do not want to lose it and have to Craft and Enchant another, then you will need to Repair the bow using one of the three techniques we have listed above.
It is the same method to repair a Tool or Weapon for each technique, so it will be very quick and easy to learn how to do it!
Remember, however, that repairing an Enchanted item with a Crafting Table or Grindstone will lose the Enchantment you have placed onto it. So you should consider whether repairing this item is your best decision.
- Your Bow is running low on durability. Therefore, you should head toward your nearest Anvil, Grindstone, or Crafting Table.
- You will need to craft a second version of your Bow. This does not need to be Enchanted, but you should remember that the Grindstone and Crafting Table will remove your Enchantment.
- Once you have your first Bow and have Crafted your second Bow, place them both into the Anvil, Grindstone, or Crafting Table menu.
- You will be shown the option to merge these Bows, forming a new Bow that is much stronger than your previous one. Click this Bow, and you have just repaired your Bow!
