How To Make Time In Little Alchemy 1 & 2
We all love to play video games for fun, giving us hours of entertainment and adventure. However, we may not often think of a video game as something that could be educational.
After all, education and learning are often pretty strict and difficult, which is far from what we might expect from a game. This is where “Little Alchemy” comes in.
Little Alchemy is a super simple video game that allows players to combine various elements and items to make new ones.
By making random combinations or following your own vague scientific hunches, you can end up learning all about what elements might make up popular things you’ve experienced in everyday life.
But how do you make “time” in Little Alchemy? It’s a pretty big concept. How could you possibly create it by combining elements and items?
Well, there are two different ways. If you’re playing the original version of Little Alchemy, you’ll need to combine glass and sand.
That may seem simple enough, but to make both glass and sand themselves, you’ll need to combine various other elements.
On top of this, the method for making time is slightly different when it comes to the game’s sequel, Little Alchemy 2.
Thankfully, though, we’ve got all the answers for you! In our handy and easy-to-follow guide below, we’ll tell you exactly how you can make time in both Little Alchemy and Little Alchemy 2. Read on!
How To Make Time In Little Alchemy
If you’re playing the original version of Little Alchemy, there is a very simple recipe for making time. As we’ve said before, that combination is glass + sand.
While many other elements and items in Little Alchemy will have multiple ways to make them, with various different combinations all coming to the same outcome, time is very straightforward and only has one method.
However, you’ll have to make glass and sand yourself to perform this combination. When you begin a Little Alchemy game, you’ll only have four elements: earth, air, fire, and water.
You need to make your own combinations from these four elements that will give you new elements and items for further combinations.
So how do you make glass and sand? Well, you’ll need sand to make glass, so it’s a case of making sand first. Simply follow these steps…
Making Sand In Little Alchemy
To begin with, you’ll want to combine “fire” and “earth”. This will give you “lava”.
After that, add the lava to air, which will create stone.
Finally, once you’ve got stone, add stone to air. This will give you sand.
To Recap
- Fire + Earth = Lava
- Lava + Air = Stone
- Stone + Air = Sand
Making Glass In Little Alchemy
Now that you’ve got sand, you can use it to make glass. This is extremely simple, just add sand to fire, and it will create glass.
To Recap
- Sand + Fire = Glass
Making Time In Little Alchemy
Now that you’ve created both glass and sand (as well as a few other elements which you can use later, too!), you’ve got all of the ingredients you’ll need to finally make time.
Simply combine glass with sand. That’s it! This will create “time”.
To Recap
- Glass + Sand = Time
How To Make Time In Little Alchemy 2
If you’re playing the follow-up to Little Alchemy, Little Alchemy 2, then there is a very different method that you will have to follow to make time.
It isn’t a method at all, or at least not in any similar way to the one we’ve just followed.
In Little Alchemy 2, you cannot make time by combining any specific pair of elements or items. Instead, time is only unlocked when you have collected 100 elements in the game.
This might seem like a daunting task, but it isn’t. In fact, 100 elements aren’t even a large portion of the game!
In all, there are 720 different elements and items that you can make in Little Alchemy 2, which is a far bigger number.
So how do you go about making 100 elements? There isn’t a set approach, but it is quite easy to do on your own.
If you followed the previous method, you’ll see that we made five new elements just trying to make time.
Better yet, you saw how easy it was to combine them. Unlocking new elements in the Little Alchemy games is a simple case of combining random (or not so random!) pairs of elements and items.
If you just try to combine everything you have and everything new that you make, you should eventually end up with 100 elements.
Once you’ve got those 100 elements, the game will unlock “time”.
It isn’t clear why the developers made time such a special unlockable in the Little Alchemy sequel, but they did.
When it comes down to it, we suppose time is one of the most important things in the world after all!
How Do You Combine Elements And Items In Little Alchemy?
If you’ve got through this guide but don’t actually know how to combine elements in the Little Alchemy games, don’t worry! We’ve got you covered.
One of the best things about Little Alchemy is how easy it is to play. It may involve some complex scientific concepts, but the game presents them as simply as possible.
When you start the game, you’ll notice a column on the right-hand side of the screen. These are your elements. You’ll only have four elements at the start, but the list will grow over time.
To combine elements, simply drag their icons into the center of the screen. After that, drag the element you want to combine it with onto the icon of the other. That’s it!
